About Antonio Wingfield
After watching a televised Diana Ross concert at the age of 5, Antonio Lanorda Wingfield became inspired by her unusual and Goddess-like beauty and began to paint her. Those paintings began to reflect a fashion sketch. In 1991, anxious to get out of his small town of Texarkana TX, Antonio accepted an academic scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin. In 1996, Antonio moved to Chicago where he began work as a costume designer. After winning a series of design competitions in 1998, Antonio left for Paris where he was offered an internship at the House of Christian Dior. Those affirmations in Paris inspired him to return to the US and focus on establishing
his own label. However, by 2005, Antonio had not only become hopelessly bored with traditional runway presentation and fashion expression, he had also begun to take issue with the fashion industry’s unhealthy, restrictive, and ridiculous concepts of beauty, femininity, and size. Considered a rebel by some for his refusal to follow along the industry's ideas and ideals, Antonio began to explore new concepts in presenting fashion. In 2006, Antonio Wingfield founded AFM Productions and produced its first show entitle Empire. The designer began to realize that every garment has a story from beginning to end …and The Fashion Opera was born!

Fashion Industry Experience: I co-own AFM Productions which is a revolutionary production company that seeks to combine the dynamic elements of its acronym : Art, Fashion and Music, to create engaging and unforgettable events and forms of entertainment. Founded in 2006, AFM Productions was originally conceived out of a need to create a greater platform of exposure and networking for artists, designers, musicians, stylists and all those related to the fields of creativity.

AFM produced its first show, a fashion show entitled Empire on November 4th 2006. It was there that AFM saw the possibilities of how fashion could be used alongside other elements of creativity as great forms of entertainment. It was also there that AFM realized that when brought together effectively, those elements can empower, inspire, educate, and simultaneously maintain entertainment value. Consequently the AFM vision has grown into a production company that seeks to promote change, awareness, education by taking elements often used superficially and directing them with a purpose. From high fashion runway to ground breaking theatrical productions,
AFM seeks to become a trailblazer by raising the bar of entertainment.
