About Me ...

Born and raised in the urban atmosphere of Williamsburg, Brooklyn for nineteen years, I myself had an amazing journey to my career path towards fashion. A former dancer/choreographer, influenced by mainly my family & neighborhood, my view towards fashion is definitely unique. 100% Puerto Rican, born to a mother of the ages of Disco, Club, House, Salsa, and Hip-Hop I feel I can push the ideal young hard working woman into a Party, Upbeat, fun-filled, joyous, and carefree lifestyle.

Fashion Industry Experience

At just the age of 19, freshman in college, I interned with so many working people in the industry. First quarter in college, I had the pleasure to work with stylist Rowshana Jackson. While working for Ms. Jackson herself, I came across her first assistant Jason Bui. While working with both Ms. Jackson and Mr. Bui, I experienced long hour fashion photo shoots for magazines and AD Campaigns. Beginning in the industry at just the age of 19, I discovered I had an advantage amongst all my classmates and piers. While working for Rowshana, I discovered that styling clothes wasn't my ideal dream. I did love working with expensive pieces, however I didn't love it as much as I did designing. So that's when I began to intern for Plutocracy's designer Anitra Michelle. Enjoying every minute of it, sleepless nights and restless days I began to understand the way Fashion works in the city. Constant adjustments to the samples, and constant stress pertaining to the work hours, I've become ready for what the fashion Industry has in stored for me. Alongside working for Anitra Michelle, I worked as an intern for Lisa Brubaker. Lisa Brubaker managed many showcases for New York City Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Week. Of the many, I had the pleasure to work with Project Runway's Contestant Ra'Mon Lawrence, where he showcased his Spring/Summer 2010 collection at TOUCH Nightclub in New York City.

What is hot in fashion this year?

This year it is all about colors and shapes. Although for the past century colors and shapes has drawn the fashion industry into what it is today, today's decade has been re-imagined in unimaginable ways. More than ever Bright Saturated colors, as well as strong and dramatic silhouettes. Khaki's paired with any soft/bright color is "the look" for Spring/Summer 2010. As for the Fall/Winter 2009, Forever dark saturated red's, brown's, and black's color the streets full of rock-punk-club music.
