Heathing Things Up a Bit

For the last several years I have been a happy hat and headpiece designer.  Fedoras, sun hats, military and baseball caps, fascinators, feathered pieces, headbands and western hats.  If it was made for the head, I designed it.Then came along the opportunity to show my designs at West Coast Productions in San Diego where they always did something a bit unusual and out of the ordinary.  Considering Dazzlme’s motto, ‘Saving you from the ordinary’, I jumped at the opportunity and from out of the…See More

About Me
As an artist, I've always had a passion for the bold, dramatic and unusual and finally found my niche in fashion and design. If it's unique and stands out in a crowd, then you'll probably find it in my closet - right next to my hats. I love hats because of their incredible versatility. Dress up an outfit with a glitzy black cap studded with rhinestones, hit the gym in your favorite distressed khaki, and always look fabulous even on a bad hair day.

Unable to find unique hats that excited me, I decided there was only one thing to do - design my own. So after many months of, " Hey, I love your hat, where can I buy one?", I created, Dazzlme.

What's next on the horizon? New hat & accessory designs, of course, but in the works is an exciting, unique line of clothing designed for women 40's and up who want to stand out in a crowd looking beautiful, sexy and adventurous, but always with class, elegance and style. For that's what Dazzlme is all about - 'Saving women from the ordinary'.
Fashion Industry Experience
The love of fashion was instilled in me as a child by my mother, a former Vogue model and beauty consultant. In February, 2009, Dazzlme was born and my dream of designing womens hats and accessories came true.

Hats - Photoshop for your Head

Posted on October 26, 2010 at 1:04pm 0 Comments

A friend of mine whispered in my ear recently that she was going to have blepharoplasty. At first I thought she was having her house re-stuccoed

until she explained that blep-whatever, is actually surgery for the eyes. I tried to talk her out of it and suggested she buy a hat instead, in which she quickly…

Secrets of the Baseball Cap

Posted on October 26, 2010 at 12:59pm 0 Comments

I've never considered myself a baseball cap kind of gal. Baseball caps were for the bratty little kids down the street and dads of the bratty little kids down the street. Never a fan that is, until one fateful day two years ago when I happened upon (drum roll please) a baseball cap - with bling! OMG. I had to have this cap. You see, I was into bling before I could crawl. If it shined and sparkled, I wanted it.…

Hi Camille,

I know all these guys but it will come across better if you approach them as an independent designer who has done a little homework on what and whom they stock and feel they could be the type of stockist you could see displaying & selling your merchandise. Go online and check these stores out, see who they stock and at what price. Retailers hate when they are targeted blindly by designers and salespeople without any idea of what they do.
Millinery is a specialist area so not all stores will be stockists of hats, most boutiques i supply may or may not carry a few, its difficult to say, but bottom line, if they love something enough and there is enough hype behind it to drive custom into their stores for it, they will buy into it if the price is right for them.

Don't mention me, i think too many designers already have so it will boring to them by now! just go for it yourself and see the reaction.

Your biggest problem will be if they want to see the hats!

Hey Camille,

Your very welcome and i hope it helps you. Let me know what you think of it.

Here's a couple of Stores in the UK that i think may love your hats.
1. Austique - Kings Road - London ( Get in touch with Katie)
2. Browns Focus - London ( Jemma is the buyer but leaves to join asos on 16/8)
3. Chattertons - Amersham ( Debbie or Rebbeca)
4. Yates Buchanan - Nottinghill ( Sunna)
5. Feathers - Nottinghill (Suzanne)
6. Koh Samui - London (Paul)
7.Kj's Laundry - London W1 (Kate or Jane)

Camille, remember that price is both King & Queen right now here in London and the UK so make sure when you send these guys some info that you quote them DDP prices ( landed prices which includes duty). They hate buying product at one price and then getting hit with a separate duty bill. Also if you have any celebs wearing your styles, drop that in also.

Let me know how you get on and stay in touch.

P.S don't try for a UK agent straight away, try to get at least one or two stockists first, having delivered merchandise to them, then agents will be more inclined to work with you.
