- CWESTcreations was founded in 2009 by Christian Western. Company is evolving from just six t-shirts & a vision to Inspire people. CWESTcreations is becoming a full-scale global Fashion & Lifestyle company. We want to Inspire people to believe in themselves and reach for their dreams.
"DON'T LET FEAR STOP YOU"
The prospect of starting my own clothing company came about while I was working a 9 to 5 at a property research company. It was early 2008, and the housing market and the economy were crumbling before my eyes. I felt a sense of insecurity as the company I worked with for the past fourteen years began to downsize. I had survived the first round of layoffs, but I grew tired of not having control over my career and my future. It was this experience that motivated me to start my own business. I was uncertain about the path that I would take—there were so many possibilities. I started thinking about who I knew and what they did. I had been in the night life environment for over seventeen years, and had the opportunity to meet and network with many people. I learned that it’s not always what you know, but WHO you know. Years ago, I started a small scale venture with a friend (Skin Deep Productions) selling mixed music tapes in the world famous Astor Place. I knew I could build on that experience and utilize the connections I had made to create a brand and build a business that I was passionate about. It was the beginning of 2009, and I decided to turn the page and create a fresh start in a different direction for my career and my life. I had always enjoyed the freedom of being creative and bringing my ideas to life. There was a sense of peace and calm that I found in expressing myself through designing clothes-it was a liberating feeling. I knew then that this was the direction I would take. The culmination of these experiences and the passion I had for creativity and expression was the basis for the creation of CWESTcreations.
