I am a Stylist and Art Director working on international film productions, contemporary theatre, TV and magazine advertising for world renown brand names with seven years experience, possessing a confident and thorough understanding and practical experience of the production process.
As you can see from my CV and from my web site www.beatamerkovits.com , I have a longstanding interest in fashion, theatre, film and fine art.
I am currently finished my third year at Central Saint Martin's BA Theatre Design for Performance (costume and set design). In addition to my currant degree I am a graduate from KREA Art and Environment Culture Institute in Budapest where I studied fashion styling for three years and fashion design for one year.
- Fashion Industry Experience
- Work in Advertising and TV:
Art Director for Hungarian magazine adverts, clients include -
City TV (April 2008), Canon (Aug 2007), Motorola (July 2006), Levi’s (June 2006), Converse (May 2006), Nike (March 2006), T-Mobile (Aug – Dec 2006)
• Worked closely with a variety of commercial clients to develop concepts, unique selling point and locations for each campaign
• Responsible for project management of chosen concept, including finances and site permissions
• Co-ordinated team of photographers, models and make-up artists
Stylist for international TV commercials, clients include -
K&H Bank (July 2008), T-Mobile (Sept 2007), Vanish (Aug 2007), , Lux (America and Asia campaigns, April 2006)
• Worked with a range of brands from luxury end to everyday products
• Selected appropriate costumes to a client‘s brief
Stylist for Hungarian Magazines, clients include -
Marie Claire Hungary (Aug 2008), Ékszerkoktél (Jan-May 2008), Stílus (2005-2008), Vital (2005-2006), Elle (June 2004)
• Theatrical styling for fashion features, usually based on mythological stories and fairytales
• Devising narrative compositions for object photography features
