I recently graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA honours in Fashion Design with Print, and am currently looking for a role within the fashion industry where I can utilise my talents.
Studying Fashion and Print allowed me the chance to experiment and become competent with a large variety of media, from developing thorough research, learning to communicate and present my ideas, to constructing my ideas into 3D form. I am proficient in fabric techniques, ranging from screen printing and dyeing fabric, to digital print and hand embroidery, all of which have been put into practice during my internships. These have ranged from Marc Jacobs to Phoebe English and have helped sharpen my core creative skills as well as giving me experience of working to tight deadlines in high-pressure environments. During my placements I developed detailed organisation expertise and a strong work ethic, I worked alongside the designers, carrying out and organising research for the upcoming season, organising and keeping track of the thousands of fabric samples from factories around the world, transferring research and ideas between the New York and Paris studios, and communicating ideas between the design department and the pattern cutters. I have been commended for my attention to detail and problem handling skills, and for being a well-rounded, committed team player.
