About Me ...
Jewelry to me...... is a form of art.
With my background in art and design, I’ve always looked for different jewelry with exclusive and different designs, not your everyday cookie-cutter style. But because exclusive and designer jewelry tend to be so expensive, and at the time I was on a student budget and could not afford it, I started to make my own. That way I could design the pieces the way I wanted them to be, to match a specific outfit or make one for a specific occasion, and nobody would have the same.
After being constantly asked by friends and people in the streets where I have bought them, I realized that if I developed my own creations I would have for sure, a captive audience to my art.
As I’m originally from Brazil, I try to incorporate a little bit of my culture and style into my work. So whenever I go back home to visit, I bring semi-precious stones, seeds and then I refresh fashion concepts and trends going on there. I also tend to bring materials from the trips that I take, bringing a piece of each place and giving each piece of art a different history.
However, my concern was always to keep my technique in an artisan way so the essence of my creations would not lose their main characteristics, that is exclusive and personal pieces.
I have always loved to work with my hands, projecting my mind, body and soul into my work. Hopefully this strength of feeling comes across in the design process, and in the finished jewelry itself.
