What is your favorite fashion website? (list the web address, NOT the fashion sites name. If you only list the name, the link to your favorite fashion site will not work...)
I did email Amy Herriott, but it looks like they don't have any positions available right now. I'm still going to contact a couple of the other contacts you send me.
Abigail, regarding your question, "if I were to open just a online site for now. does that same concept follow?". Yes, I think that opening an online store is similar to a store front boutique as far as planning for product, pricing margin decisions, etc. However, with an online store, your biggest challenge may be getting traffic (customers) to your online destination. Therefore, in addition to planning your retail business, you should also learn about marketing on the internet. You may wish to check the marketing group on this network. And do other research. After you store is online, you can add to directories. You are probably familiar with some already. You can find some of mine at the fashion industry portal website. Apparel Search is by far my largest. The others are still new and growing. Anyway, after your site is online let me know and I will help you with listings.
Hi, thanks for the add! I have been trying to get some experience in visual merchandising, buying, or fashion show production. I see you have some great experience. Do you happen to know of any companies I should apply to or any opportunities?
