When does used clothing turns into vintage clothing?

I think I know the general concept that differentiates used clothing from vintage clothing. However, I am not certain if their is an "official" way to clarify between old clothing (previously worn or not previously worn) and vintage fashion.

When does used clothing turns into vintage clothing?

In your opinion, what are the distinguishing characteristics to help classify vintage clothing as officially vintage fashion.

In my opinion, 2nd hand or recycled clothing is used clothing, it becomes Vintage when the garment is 20 years or more old. Hope that helps, all the best.
