The Fashion Industries Favorite Business Network ...

We now have a huge company that announces the color of the year. People flock to that color it's Honeysuckle pink, then you will have the non-conformist simple as that but what can this color mean for what is to come.

I am seeing lots of color already and those were the RTW Fall Shows, I think we are all anxious to take of the blacks, neutrals and whites and party in the hot summer. I believe the Pantone Co. has to go through all the colors have the secret shoppers, secret color spies to see what is still out and what is in.I am going to be looking in the downfall of Honeysuckle pink and try guessing what next season will be. They have a Men's top 10 and women's.

Deborah T Wolff*  Pink has always been one of my favorite colors.  It is very feminine, cool and sexy

Personally, I think it is rather silly announcing a "color of the year".  What super committee makes that decision??

Possibly, it would make sense to announce the color of the year "after" the year finished.  If and only if, they could actually validate with hard facts which color garment sold the most during the calendar year.

I know it is not possible, but it would be interesting if every single clothing retailer listed the pantone numbers on the price ticket data.  Then it would be possible to track sales by specific color in the POS (point of sale) systems.  Obviously not every retailer would agree to this and that would make it impossible to take an accurate calculation.

By the way, if the color forecasting companies all say the same color is going to be hot next season, that makes more companies manufacture using that color.  Due to the fact that more garments are made in that color, naturally based on percentages and actual availabilty in stores, more units will sell with that color.

Anyway, although it is challenging, it is still beneficial to "try" and predict color trends.

Not to mention Pantone owns Michael Kors, and a number of other American and abroad houses. THey own paint companies, They are a conglomeration owning tons of business, ensure they use the color as their primary color, some aren't owned but so many are and When I spoke to Eiseman, I asked her about her decision and that it might and will change something inside a creator. Just think next year shoe of the year or silhouette. it is a form of 1984. That is why I have been following their visibility in our culture. In Devil wears Prada Mrs. Gummer aka Meryl Steep tell's Anne Hathaway about her lavender sweater.

Pantone tells everyone color of the year, and guess what you don't have the new blender with the tangerine accessorizes, skinny jeans in neon colors mostly tangerine tango, or any other Olympian Blue it's a raquet like Mountain Bell when they owned the phone service alone. I am not seeing the creative value in this yet. I will keep watching. it is a nice color and the blue is really my favorite. SO hair when a Marni Dress is right in front of you in that color at Gilt in your budget and you didn't buy it. We have all had theml

THe pale pins and pinks as a whole are amazing Last years color  Honeysuckle Pink killed it at the shows. I have pages of object of just one shade of pink on Fashiolista @leatajane I love putting those soft pale pinks in feathers, satin, silk, diamonds, shoes, hats, coats, star diamond earring same with light blue and green gorgeous
