Anyone with connections on buying silk fabrics abroad

Instead of buying my fabrics wholesale, I need to buy silk chiffons/georgette fabrics stright from the manufacturer. Although at this point I am in contact with a couple of manufacturers in China, this procedure is entirely new to me. Does anyone have any experience in buying fabric out of the country, or any contacts you can give me?
