HAIR/MAKEUP STYLISTS NEEDED

For charity fashion show on October 25th 2008 to style models for 10 different designers for their S/S ’09 show at Canco Lofts in Jersey City.

This is an excellent opportunity to build up your portfolio with a variety of looks from a diverse pool of designers, AND to lend your skills to a great cause.

Stylists must bring their own hair/makeup supplies.

Payment is not monetary but in digital photos of models from the catwalk and live photo shoot. We are also able to provide a tax deduction form for your work, since it is for charity.
SEAM Collective is an alliance of women dedicated to promoting the advancement of female fashion designers. Half of the proceeds from the show will be donated to Women Rising, which sponsors programs for women and families in Hudson County. For more information, go to www.seamcollective.com,

I'm a make-up artist in NY and may be interested in working this event. Is the position still available? What is the time range for the entire day?

Hi Saleemah,

We'd love to have your help for the day if you're available!

A couple of notes about the day:

+Stylists must bring their own hair/makeup supplies.
+Designers will provide any props/accessories they want incorporated into their look
+Please arrive at 12:30pm. The show will begin at 8pm and we will have approximately 25-30 models to get through hair and makeup, and 2 back-to-back rehearsals before the doors open at 6pm.

And just a reminder, compensation is not monetary but in digital photos from the catwalk and live photo shoot. We are also able to provide a tax deduction form for your work, since it is for charity.

Please confirm that you are able to work that day, and specify whether it is hair, makeup or both that you are willing to do. If you have any questions, let us know.
