hey Zakir,
I'm looking for pattern makers that can tell me what the charge of this service is?
I mean , how does one know how much to pay for a men's shirt, and pattern and sample?

How much is it supposed to cost and where do the prices come from?

I have some men's shirts and jeans that I'm trying to make but I don't seem to be able to get anyone to tell me the truth?
would you tell me the truth Zakir.

Hi Dean,
Sorry for late reply. For chanrge to make a pattern as follows
Item- Basic Shirt
-Pattern making for 1 Size- +/- US$ 25 (For full size gardening will be US$ 50.00/Set)
- Making Sample - +/- US$ 8.00/ Pc ( If Qtty is more than 10 pcs cost will be US$ 6.00/ Pc)
(All the materials has to be provide my you)
- All courier charge in your account.

This is approximate charge for making sample and pattern. And I would like to make relationship with you.

Please mail me if you are interested. For 1st order for sampling I will make you free of cost for you to understand our quality and shapes. Thanks

Hi Zakir,

Could you also give me a price range for women's evening and casual tops, dresses and pants (3 size grading)? I understand that the price varies based on the complexity of the item, but would you be able to give me a range? I would really appreciate it!

gosh Laura,
there are variables all over what you are talking about... once I have the master pattern to draft from I can go faster. Do you have a master?
As a rule I charge below standard pricing, but I prefer to put it all together as a group contract. = (price x total collection pieces)
My basic prices are $125 for the sample of 7 pieces in the pattern, plus 10 bucks / extra piece.... and then $195.00 for the 7 pieces pattern, plus extra... not to mention the fabric, or threads or notions..which you provide.
then there is the bra size, body type, and size parameters of your market .... do you have the labels? and the grading is another thing all together...

however; I can tell you that your prices would be better as a 90 day contract.... in terms of collection development.... say 12 or 16 pieces in the collection, .... we must first have a market target... which is covered in your business plan, or course... right? which you can forward to me as soon as you can... your sketches must be in detail and include front and back. with notions, threads, fabric swatches and price points.
I don't know that you are understanding what you are actually asking me to do... Laura.

I want you to know that I'm a designer myself with a 23 piece men's wear collection that I'm going to use to audition for this seasons project runway this coming july in Atlanta,(if they pick me that is). that collection has 230 pattern pieces in it, and is 3 sizes , and took me 5 months (casually) to draft, develop, shop for fabric, cut, and sew up for presentation ... all of which you can see on anyone of my social networks, that google can give you the links to... And yes Zakir, I am the perfect person you need for this collection, but that's not the question at this point... The question is Are you the right person for this collection.... If you don't have a business plan, all your fabrics and notions reserved, and a 6 month contract ready to offer me. You are not ready to be my client....I am a master pattern maker and a top professional garment industry engineer.... Why do you think 100k is the price for first place on project runway?

I hope you have all of this criteria ready to go, and we will have a skype conference this weekend.

I am a pattern maker in well known organization in tamil nadu INDIA.I am basically a tailor now I am working as a pattern master from last 10 years now this stage I was created my own designs in jeans for a summer collections,I am doing pattern in GERBER software.I can create patterns from proto to till production in cad software.
