As a freelance copywriter/journalist, writing about fashion, lifestyle, accessoiries, beauty, and health, I need to keep my PR network up to date and of course, I also need to expand it regularly. Now I'm very curious how other writers do this. Just sending random e-mails, or do you have a special strategy?

I am new to the Fashion Industry Network. I came across the post above and I wanted to inquire more about Buzz Flikr. I am a freelance fashion publicist and I have two clients that I think might benefit from this service since Buzz Flikr is a source for editors and writers. How would I go about getting my clients designs listed on your site? I look forward to hearing from you.

You should definatley contact the publicists that pertain to your interests, research. Check web pages or magazines for direct contacts with publicity agents, e-mail totally works. I work in PR and am always looking to expand my database since I represent a local fashion designer in the bay area and would love to build a relationship with you if you are interested. It also seems that blog posts like the one you just sent out here seems to get some feedback from people in our profession.

I was surprised to find out how much contact info one can find on websites for such well-known fashion mags as Elle, INSTYLE, Cosmopolitan, etc. I was just researching this past weekend and found actual submission addresses and editors' email addresses (with their full names) on these websites. Believe it or not, even these magazines are always looking for fresh new talent. Give it a try. It may take a big chunk of time out of your day with all the researching, but it's well worth it!
