Designer Lauren Elaine fashion designs will be auctioned live during Emerging Magazine's celebrity production, The 1st Annual Kate Linder Celebrity Charity Gala, benefiting The ALS Association, Greater Los Angeles Chapter.

Emerging Magazine announced this week Lauren Elaine will be added to the growing list of product and fashion donors for the 1st Annual Kate Linder Celebrity Charity Gala, February 11, 2010 to be held at the Montage Beverly Hills Hotel.

The 1st Annual Kate Linder Celebrity Charity Gala, an Emerging Magazine celebrity charity production will raise funds to help lead in the fight to find a cure for ALS. Stacey Wiseman, Wiseman Zander Public Relations for Lauren Elaine spoke with Emerging Magazine representatives when Ms. Elaine expressed interest in the charity gala.

One celebrity will model a Lauren Elaine creation on the runway prior to the live auction during the gala. The winning bidder will receive the modeled fashion garment custom fitted for themselves. About Lauren Elaine:

Designer Lauren-Elaine was born and raised in San Diego, CA. At a young age she discovered her passion for creativity when her mother enrolled her in sewing lessons. At the age of 13, she was scouted at a local mall and began modeling extensively. Throughout high school, Lauren pursued a career as a model, working for such clients as Teen/Seventeen Magazines, Chanel, and Nordstrom- to name a few. Through modeling, Lauren was exposed to the world of fashion and design, and with her combined sewing talents, she began to create her own clothing.

Following high school, Lauren attended the University of Texas, where she received a B.A. in Film Production, specializing in Art Direction. While in Austin, Lauren also began to dabble in acting-appearing as co-star “Becky” in Capitol recording artist Dierks Bentley’s music videos, and in such films as Fox Searchlight’s THE RINGER, and Miramax’s SIN CITY. Austin also provided the perfect environment to start a unique, personal fashion line. Lauren began designing and selling to private clients and friends online.

Following graduation from UT, Lauren returned to California to pursue acting, modeling, and fashion full-time. While film roles- including the lead in the upcoming feature film “Memphis Rising: Elvis Returns,” and modeling campaigns for designers like Moda Fina kept Lauren busy, the onset of the writer’s strike in Fall 2007 gave her the extra time needed to seriously pursue a career in Fashion Design.

The Lauren Elaine brand officially debuted during LA Fashion Week in March 2008. Since the launch, Designer Lauren Elaine has garnered much attention for her ultra-femme, effortlessly elegant evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and separates- with pieces making frequent appearances in magazines and editorial spreads, and garnering a small celebrity following on the red carpet. In October 2009, Lauren presented her couture Spring 2010 “Black Label” collection at LA Fashion Week, followed by the celebrity red carpet “Encore” event for LA Fashion Week in Hollywood.

In addition to the couture “Black Label,” Lauren introduced the casual, boho-chic "Laine by Lauren Elaine” lifestyle label with an emphasis on environmentally friendly production in August of 2009, and plans for a small accessories collection launch in January 2010. Drawing on her background in Art Direction, Lauren is heavily inspired by period films, all things vintage, and a fondness for fairytales.
