You're welcome to send more questions to blog@senseofashion.com And we will answer here http://www.senseofashion.com/blog/958/how-to-get-inexpensive-models/ Looking forward Daria
I've recently opened my online vintage boutique, Gina Marie Vintage, where I also design/sell jewelry. However, I'm looking to start selling my own clothing line as well. I plan to do the designing but I want to hire a partner who will do the pattern making and garment construction. I have no idea how much the average/appropriate wage would be for that job. Considering it is a start up business and the employee would have to the potential to grow with the company, how much should I offer? Should it be by the hour? If so, how can you oversee how much time it actually takes to complete a garment? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!
I am interested in know the answer to this also. I have a pattern maker but am looking to go else where for the grading. There are about 9 pieces to my garment. Though I am aware of a lot of other service my concern was how to protect my designs and not getting back in the same boat when it comes to costing. My person charged by the hour with no time estimations. Love their work though and will go back later!!
Hello, I am a new fashion designer and am in the process for starting my own clothing line and now I am so overwhelmed I am stuck. So my question to you is, with my pieces sketched what is the best way to market my items? I am actually constructing my own pieces, so I am working with what I have at the moment. Is there a way I can gain clients and grow even though I only have sketches right now??
