Store Your Fashion In a Good Apparel Warehouse

Designing, manufacturing, and selling clothing and fashion accessories is only part of the fashion business.  Another important aspect is warehousing your inventory.

If you are looking for an apparel warehouse to store your product, you may want to try the Warehouse Search website.  In addition, try a local realtor.  Here are a few examples of what you can find on the warehouse search website.

Make sure to find a clean warehouse that utilizes good location systems so that they can find the inventory when you need to ship.

Do you put your clothing inventory into a warehouse facility and think it is there.  But when it is time to ship the warehouse tells you that they can not find your inventory?  Certainly, you do not want to send out empty trucks to your retailers.Make sure you use a clothing warehouse that uses a location system.  They need to be able to find your inventory when it is needed to ship.  They should NOT be using their memory to find your merchandise in pallet locations.  They should be using some sort of fashion warehouse software to maintain accurate inventory and locations.

What does your warehouse do with the wood pallets?  If you import your product on pallets, who owns them?  Who pays for them?  Who sells them and keeps the profit?

Crushed inventory is NOT a good thing.  Even in the best warehouses, accidents can happen.  Becareful to work with your warehouse to monitor the quality of your inventory.  Don't let your cartons get stacked incorrectly.

You do not want to have your fashion in crushed cartons.  Use a fashion warehouse that takes care with your inventory.

Shipping cartons may not seem very important to you, but selecting the carton weights and dimensions can effect your shipping cost.  Also, make sure your warehouse is not over charging you for cartons..

When selecting an apparel warehouse, make sure they have enough bay doors to meet your volume.  The goal is to store the inventory on a temporary basis... When you have buyers ready, you need to quickly get your inventory on the trucks.  You can get goods onto trucks without bay doors...

If you ship large volume, make sure to count the doors...
