I run a childrens clothing company based in Melbourne, Australia and am beginning the process of moving from handmade to limited edition manufactured runs of dresses.
I'm new to understanding this side of the business and would very much appreciate any advice anyone might have.
I have produced the patterns and samples of the garments myself and understand that I need to produce spec sheets but that is as far as I am in my understanding of the process.
I would ideally like to work with a manufacturer in Melbourne but I'm finding it difficult to find anyone through online searches. I understand that Bali also produces high quality products - it has the benefit of close proximity to Australia to monitor the manufacturing process.
Any tips, hints, tricks or recommendations from where to go from here will be very much appreciated :)
Thank you!
Claire
