The Young Fashion Designer's Association (YFDA) is a not-for-profit association whose membership will consists of emerging young fashion designers who are striving to become relevant in the fashion world. The word "Young" meaning developing their craft and emerging into the fashion world. There is an age limit where as an Emerging Member must be 21 years old or older, our Junior Members must be 18 to 20 years old. Designers will specialize in all facets of fashion design including womenswear, menswear, jewelry, interior and accessory design. Designers should be emerging designers who have not been signed to any major distribution or publicity deals. This association is designed to recognize emerging creative talent in the industry. YFDA (Young Fashion Designers’ Association) is an association of emerging designers who want to come together to learn, teach, grow in fashion thorugh workshops, social events, fashion shows, and showcases. We are in the beginning stages of bringing this association to reality. There are many steps to creating a successful association that will have everyone’s best interest at heart and be the best it can be and we are working deligently to make that happen. The only way YFDA can become a nationally recongnized association is with membership from emerging brands. Over the next few months we will be recruiting designers for membership and will be keeping you abreast of our progress, we plan to have our inaugaral Social October 2011.
