After a long time I finally decided to ask for your help as you're certainly more experienced at this than I am.
Long story short: since I'm starting my own line of accessories (including hats and caps), I'm thinking about getting an embroidery machine which can handle with most thick fabrics (like woolen ones).
I worked with embroidery before, but it was a long time ago, and the only thing I remember is that I should look for the biggest hoop available. So another question: is there any other specs while working with hats I should be aware of?
After some research, I've narrowed down my options to Singer Futura (as it was recommended by sewingpattern review) and Brother SE1900 (mentioned here, it seems to be easier to operate since I've dealt with Brother's machines before), but I'd like to consider other options as well. I'm leaning back to Futura, though I prefer to have a separate embroidery machine and I won't use it as a sewing machine almost certainly.
I also heard that Janome's are great, but those ones that I saw in my local shop doesn't have a hat loop included.
About my budget. As for now, anything that goes under 1300$ would be OK.
Need to mention that I plan to use it not only for hats but for shirts as well, so it might be a versatile model.
A couple of months ago I gave my sewing machine to my mother, who also likes sewing and designs her clothes herself. So, I needed a new one. I’ve read so many reviews to find the machine I’ve never read in my life. I’ve searched some forums concerning sewing and fashion and on one of the alternate ones I was advised to check this review. Maybe it would be helpful for you, I don't know, but I found it quite informative for those who are looking for an embroidery machine. All in all, I chose a Brother SE1900 sewing embroidery machine. It cost $1,198 on Amazon, so you remain within your budget.
Basically, anything that comes from Brother or Singer is your go-to, these manufacturers are at the forefront of making embroidery machines. I recommend you check some options here, https://popular.reviews/best-embroidery-machine/. You have multiple models by both manufacturers at rather fair prices. Regardless of the material or garment you choose to embroid on, you won't be disappointed.
When talking about embroidery machines, Brother and Janome are top of the head recall. But I wont recommend you Janome as it is little overpriced with respect to the quality offered. You can choose a model from various available models of Brother embroidery machine for hats according to your requirements. However, you must consider reading some reviews for better selection.
Trying to embroider hats, shirts, and other large pieces of fabric? Then you need the best multi-needle embroidery machine. I think MB-4 will be a perfect top-notch machine for you.
