Where to begin within the clothing industry

Hello everybody. I have many ideas about clothing that I want to put into production(I am not a fashion designer). The problem is I am not clued up on how to go about the whole process, from approaching the manufacturers to getting the merchandise to retailers.

Where should I start. I live in S.Africa Johannesburg

I have to any bookstore within my vicinity and they dont have the book in stock or on their databases
