Social Attire is a company that allows fashion designers to submit their designs to be voted on by the consumers. Ever two weeks a winner is chosen and the winning design is mass produced and sold with no cost to the designer. The copyright of the design stays in the name of the designer and the designer also receives 10% of the profits.

Attached is a letter from the CEO better describing the company as well as a flyer!

Yes 10% may not seem like a lot but you must think of this. Your design is produced and sold with no cost to you. The company pays for all manufacturing, materials, shipping, advertising, and any other costs that go into production and sales. This 10% may awarded to you may in turn be more than you would actually receive after selling the garment yourself.
I think it's an interesting idea.  I signed up and look forward to seeing how this works out.
Do all dresses sell in the $100-$200 range?
Not necessarily it depends on the dress design chosen to be produced.
