You know sometime being simple is fairly enough to be notice but these days people are tend to find their style to more adorable because of the influence of media and it plays a major role in spreading the fashion trends . Everyday we see different celebrity with their fashion styles and we like to copy what they got and feel great when its cute enough to show to all of our friends.
thanks but i posted my pictures on my pictures on my profile and someone replied and said it was too plain and nothing is interesting about it. how should i take a comment like that?
maybe it's just that you two have different concepts of style. Just tell him that you appreciate the feedback but don't let it bring you down. He's entitled to his own opinion anyway. We can't please everybody. So please your self. :)
a designer's job is to suggest, not dictate.
each designer gets their inspiration from every single thing around them...using their 5 senses.
the talent of a designer is to remain true to their inner core/asthetic, while bringing something new and fresh to the mix.
ralph lauren does this brilliantly.
so does lagerfeld.
out of this world clothing does get noticed .
it depends upon what you wish your clothing to be noticed for?
you first have to define what your clothing is. and also define what your vision is.
will it be noticed for amazing workmanship? ( couture)
will it be noticed for a certain silhouette?
sometimes the most amazing apparel, whispers and doesn't have to yell.
Yeah right, Ralph Lauren is so brilliant when it comes to simplicity of style for it was his forte by designing a clothes that is so versatile and can be worn by men and women.
I don't think that you have to make your designs to be crazy just to be noticed, haven't you noticed most of the so called new designs are just revivals of the old fashion, if you look at our new trend in the fashion industry, most specially those cocktail dresses, nor church dresses and other special occasion dresses, you'll notice that you have already seen them in many occasions already, you've seen them several times before, right?
