Perhaps as early as when you were five years old, you may have had a clear idea of what you consider a perfect wedding dress. You may, however, have no idea at all of what you will wear, or even feel strange about wearing something white. What you need to do is just relax and keep in mind that there is a vast assortment of dresses to match every type of bride.

When to Buy Your Wedding Dress

As a rule of thumb, your dress should be ordered six months or so prior to your wedding. So you'll have sufficient time to prepare. Ideally, you can start shopping about nine months before your special day. However, if you lack time, it is okay, as long you have the extra budget for rush fees.

Plan Ahead of Time

Set aside some time to imagine what you really want. When searching among several different wedding dresses, it would help to consider your budget and other details, like for example, having a full skirt, covered arms or a dress with a traditional design. This way, if you think a teal pantsuit would suit you best, it is not worth spending your time in searching among racks of white gowns.

Comfortable Dress

You don't only want to look beautiful on your big day, but feel comfortable as well. It will be difficult to pose for pictures, dance and even laugh if you keep on pulling your dress or have boning protruding into your ribs.
