I'm sorry to hear about what happened to you. It's such a shame when people take advantage of others. In any case, here's a link to a screenprinting company that seems to know what they're doing. I don't know about how their prices compare to your budget, but they seem professional.

Also www.infomat.com is a good resource for finding vendors, manufacturers, factories, etc. for the fashion industry.

i have been in garment production business for last 15 years and opened my own business recently. i know for fact that there are so many start up designers out there who needs help getting the line together and the right direction as a new business. one of my philosophy in opening my business is to help the start up designers,. yes I also would need to have financial gain by doing this because i am not a charity, but it's legitimate for what i do and i do not over charge.
i can cost few styles out for you and see if it sounds reasonable to you. if it does sound reasonable and we decide to work together, i promise your life will be so much better. you only have to design.

Hi
It may be just simple to get the business going.
Locate a wholesaler,who has a good stock of S E Asian stock which is less expensive than US Made, buy the stuff that you like in any color/size as you want and ask him for a printer who can set up your design and print.
You can depend on the wholesaler who will not ditch you, since he needs you for long. All the best

I understand how you feel and all the trouble you went through to expand your clothing line. Understand, that learning how to negotiate these deals is a very important skill to possess. Don't feel like you're obligated to make a decision on the spot when dealing with suppliers. Instead, try and persuade them into the idea that you have honest intentions of creating a win-win situation for both you and the supplier. Since you already know that you could be spending a lot less on the design and printing process, the next logical step would be to create a list of potential supplier and contact all of them. During every phone call, begin to practice negotiating so that you can feel more confident the next time around. Good luck to you!
