Fashion Industry Network

The Fashion Industries Favorite Business Network ...

I WANT TO KNOW IF YOU FEEL ITS WORTH STARTING YOUR OWN FASHION BUSINESS IN TODAY'S ECONOMY. MANY OF THE MAJOR BRANDS ARE NOT DOING VERY WELL. I HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY BUT I HAVE DECIDED THAT I WANT TO START MY OWN COLLECTION AND HAVE IT SOLD ONLINE. BUT  THERE IS SO MUCH COMPETITION, PEOPLE ARE OUT OF JOBS AND CONSUMERS ARE NOT REALLY SPENDING MONEY ON CLOTHING, THEY ARE BUYING ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHING THERE ATTIRE. I HAVE SEEN OTHER INDEPENDENT DESIGNERS STRUGGLE TO STAY IN BUSINESS.

I WANTED TO START A SMALL COLLECTION OF ABOUT 6 TO 8 PIECES.

THE PRICE RANGE MAY BE AROUND $20-$70 DEPENDING ON THE ITEM.

I agree with your opinion. Not only business man are struggling, but also the manufacturer/factory, for example those in China as I can see.

But, people have to wear, especially those fashion people, they can spend less on eating but can't on clothing, so in this period, the level of your collection decides your business will be survive or not.

I do agree with you. Today's economic crisis is world wide and is affecting everybody. Good luck to your collection.
