It can be easily achieved with the help of flat pattern, if someone feels difficulty with the flat pattern then the best technique is draping.

I am also riddled on how Francisco Costa made this kind of design, and I was imagining on how it would look like to be applied on dresses for church, with all those curves and angles, and fold, its so unique and beautifully done.
