Fashion Placement/ Student Internship

Hi,

I am a 2nd Year University student looking for a 9-12 month placement within the fashion industry, commencing July 2011.

I live in Manchester, and would preferably like to be able stay in the North, however most placements I have found seem to be predominantly based in the South.

I just wanted to post on here to see if anyone could offer and advice or point me in the right direction, as I cannot seem to find any placements in the Manchester area.

My University (Manchester Metropolitan) are sending all 2nd Year students emails with possible placements, but again these all seem to be in the South.

If I have no luck then I'll apply for any I am interested in, but I just wanted to at least look for some in the North first before ruling it out!

Any help/advice will be gratefully received, and my preference is Marketing, but I am happy to challenge myself and have a go at anything to determine what I will eventually go on to do in the future!

I have attached a covering letter which gives more information and more about me so please have a read if you think you can help me!

Just to add, my term time address is in Manchester, however my home address is in Cumbria - so any placements in reach of these areas are a bonus!
