Hey there,

I'm involved in a bodybuilding/fitness start-up NTW and one of our key objectives as a brand in 2019, is to work with and (hopefully) integrate a fashion designer into the team over the course of the year.

We have a launch at the end of this year (Dec/Australia) that involved four new designs and are hoping to get the final samples by Jun/July. As a start-up, we don't have the ability to pay an experienced full-time or even part-time fashion designer. So we're hoping to work with a designer that's still in University or just completed their degree and are looking for hands-on experience.

That being said, we like to foster integrity in our culture and would like to compensate this fashion designer as fairly as possible. So what I'm trying to figure out is what would be a reasonable compensation for a young an in-experienced fashion designer that would like to help a start-up for their next collection?

The role includes:
- Mood Board
- Tech Pack
- 4-Designs (a collaborative effort)
- Pro-active research (a collaborative effort)
- Weekly and possibly daily dialogue for 3-4 months

Compensation Options (possibly a mix):
- Royalties
- Flat-fee (hourly fee is not viable)
- Percentage of company

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for the help guys :)
