The Fashion Industries Favorite Business Network ...

Okay so I'm currently going to The Art Institutes Online for my Fashion & Retail Management BA.  I have no clue how to sew, but I can draw, not that great but I can!  I have looked for drawing and sewing lessons around my area and have found none.  I have some sketches of my clothing, as well as designs for shirts and dresses.  I have no idea where to start or how. I have no inside knowledge or experience with the Fashion industry. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It's not really that easy for me to just pack up and move around because I'm married with two small kids, and my husband happens to be in the Army.

My goal is to have my own store, line, and be successful.  I don't really care about being famous as long as I'm successful.

Thanks and Have A Blessed One!

You can also try platforms for young designers like, where the most important things are your creative ideas and drawing skills. It can definitely be a good start in your fashion career even without any knowledge in sewing or product management.

As per my point of view, you can take new fashion pearl jewelry design, Recently I was purchased one pearl ring through online Timeless Pearl with good price, and this pearl really good and give me new personality.
Thank you

Hi Jonathan,

One of the most common questions I am asked by designers who have just come out of fashion school or are studying with me is:

“Should I start my own business or should I go work for a big fashion house?”.

This is the question? Do you want to learn all the steps to begin a strong FASHION Business?

Check this full entrepreneur course degree on Amazon.

Also, you should bring your works online. Showing your skills in person is a sure way for a designer, but you can market your brand online if you have a digital portfolio of your works to share on social media and specialized forums. If you have no portfolio yet, you can create it using Format and publish anywhere you like.

To share a bit of my experience - find good models for your brand promotion! It may seem as a lesser detail, but the right model knows how to present your clothes the right way! Of course, that's not the first step but an important one nonetheless.

if You’re looking for some online presence and already have ready items/prototypes we can also post it

Hi Jordan,

It is really nice to know that you can draw and sketch. Very few people has that art. You can start as a freelance designer in this industry. There are various online custom print stores which accepts designs from independent artists like you. They will pay you not only for your design but also a part of articles sold of your design.

I think ethnic wear is very much in trend. Salwar Kameez, Saree and Indian lehenga are not only popular in  India but also worldwide.

you can search on youtube. youtube has best video tutorial.
